History
A very ancient breed, common throughout France, used for hunting waterfowl and described or mentioned in several works as early as the 16th century.
Training
It is a dog which is easy to train because it is intelligent, sensitive to the intonation of the voice of the master, wishful to work and wants to make pleasure to its master. Still the training must be consequent and firm enough, autoritary in order to be taken seriously by the dog.
Coat & grooming
The fur of this dog must be brushed and combed frequently and regulate in order not to get tangled. The ears will be kept clean.
